Operation SPLASH Education Mentors Captain Don Harris,  Anthony Alfieri, and Leigh Block hosted an educational cleanup with 65 Massapequa students at the Tobay Beach area on Tuesday, October 7th. Over 20 bags of trash were removed along with a tire, plastic chairs, and an entanglement of netting, plastics, and balloon remnants. This community service day served as an excellent educational tool to demonstrate what happens to small pieces of trash and their dangers to wildlife.
